About Us

Built by engineers. Grounded in construction.

Moonlight is led by engineers with backgrounds in software, AI, and product development. What makes our team different is that we’ve worked closely with industry leaders in commercial construction, building software inside real project environments and developing a deep understanding of how the industry operates. That perspective shapes how we build from the start.

We sit at the intersection of technology, AI, and construction.

Before starting Moonlight, our team built products and worked within major institutions across technology, industry, and government, including organizations such as Amazon, Ford, General Dynamics, and the Government of Canada, with ties to the University of Toronto. Together, those experiences gave us a strong foundation in software engineering, product development, and applied AI.

At the same time, we’ve worked closely with leading companies in commercial construction, building software in environments where coordination, execution, and accountability matter every day. That gave us firsthand insight into how construction companies actually operate — how information moves across teams, where friction builds, where processes break down, and what software needs to do to be useful in practice.

That experience shaped how we think about technology. We believe the best tools support the way people already work. The same is true for AI. To be useful, it has to fit into the processes, tools, and systems teams already rely on. It should reduce manual effort, help surface what matters, and make work easier to manage — not add more friction or force people to change everything just to use it.

That is where Moonlight has an edge. We bring real technical and AI experience, and we pair it with a strong understanding of the construction side. Bringing those two worlds together is what defines how we build.

What we build reflects that perspective.

We build software with strong technical foundations, practical AI, and a clear understanding of the environment it needs to support. That means tools that are useful, reliable, and aligned with how teams actually work.

If you’re looking for a team that understands both modern technology and the realities of commercial construction, we’d love to talk.
